Recently, the group standard "Technical Requirements for Spring-Energized Seals" was officially released. It was drafted under the leadership of Qingdao Ruichen Sealing Technology Co., Ltd., with the participation of the University of Science and Technology of China and other organizations. Approved by the China Society of Technology Economics (CSTE), the standard bears the number T/CSTE 795—2026 and was released and implemented on September 8, 2026.
This standard represents a significant technical benchmark for spring-energized seals (commonly known as "Variseals") in my country. It is also a major achievement resulting from Ruichen Sealing’s long-standing commitment to technological innovation and its deep expertise in sealing technology for complex operating conditions. The standard provides systematic regulations covering product classification and model designation, structural configuration and dimensions, operating conditions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, as well as marking, packaging, transportation, and storage. It also specifies comprehensive test apparatus and procedures, thereby establishing a technical foundation for the design, manufacturing, inspection, and application of spring-energized seals.
Moving forward, Ruichen Sealing will actively implement this standard across product R&D, manufacturing, quality inspection, and engineering applications. The company aims to provide increasingly reliable sealing products and technical solutions to sectors such as hydraulic equipment, energy equipment, petrochemicals, and high-end manufacturing, thereby contributing to the advancement of my country's high-end sealing technology and the high-quality development of the industry.
