Glyd Rings for shafts consist of a PTFE-filled rectangular sealing ring and an O-ring, suitable for bidirectional pressure sealing in reciprocating hydraulic applications. The O-ring provides radial force and compensates for seal ring wear. They are generally used in conjunction with a guide ring. Split (open) grooves should be used for rod diameters less than 30mm.
